As I was reading my personal devotions the thought came to me, 'We failed God.' In the garden of Eden, and all through time, God called us, as humans to obey as an act of lve, but we failed HIm in that. We didn't sin 'against' Satan, in fact we didn't try to do anything 'against' Satan but we allowed him to lead us into sin. Not sin as in 'separation from God forever,' but sin as in something causes us to call into question the love, and in the case of God we question His very character. What is more hurtfjul than that? No wonder we, as humans made in God's image, are so hurt by any questions against our own character. Now, since we failed God from the beginning we assume that He couldn't love us. Partly because we had questioned His love to begin with, but also because we realize we have failed it and as failed humans we forget that the Creator's very essence is love and He will always love us in spite of the failure, unconditionally. Praise the Lord!!!
This blog is kind of a response to conversations I had with my brother and it takes a lot to explain all the history behind it.
